After months of planning, building, inspections, and teamwork… the day is finally here! Tomorrow morning, we officially welcome our Stallions into their brand-new school home. 💛🐴💙
We are beyond excited to open our doors and kick off this first chapter together. This has been a true community effort, and we are so grateful for our board, staff, inspectors, construction team, and especially our families for supporting us every step of the way.

📦 And if you’d like to get a head start, our team will be on site this afternoon from 4–6 PM for Supply Drop! We’ll be busy bees buzzing around getting everything ready for tomorrow, but we’ll greet you with a smile (and maybe a happy dance or two). 🐝✨

💙 HCA Kershaw Family Update 💙
We know this is not the update you were hoping for, and we feel it right along with you.
We learned something today that means we’ll need to adjust our start just a bit more before we can officially begin this journey together:
📅 Monday, Aug. 18 → eLearning Day for all students; check your email for info on a fun assignment
📅 Tuesday, Aug. 19 → Our planned first in-person day together
📦 Supply Drop-Off → Planned for Monday, Aug. 18 | 4-6pm
---Can’t make it Monday? That’s okay! You can always bring supplies when you walk your student in on the first day ❤️
The reason? Our final fire systems inspection — the last step before we can safely open our doors — was originally scheduled for earlier this week, but was unexpectedly delayed. It is now set for Monday morning, and while we wish it could have happened sooner, this step is mandatory to ensure our building is fully approved and safe for our students and staff.
We know this is hard. We know many of you have rearranged schedules, made plans, and counted down the days to our first morning together.
Please know this delay is in no way a reflection on our staff, our board, or our construction crew — nor on our many supporters and inspectors who have also been working hard during this busy back-to-school season. Every single one of them has been giving their all to make this happen. This step is simply out of their hands, and they are just as eager as you are to see those smiling faces walk through our doors.
💌 Staying Connected
We’ll be sending updates via email throughout the weekend, again Monday morning, and once more after our inspection — not just for transparency, but because we’re all in this together. If plans change, you’ll be the first to know.
💡 Making Monday Special
Even though we can’t be together in person just yet, we still want our Stallions’ first “day” to be memorable! On Monday, students will take part in a fun, meaningful project — adding their own creative twist to our HCAK school crest coloring page.
🖨 No printer? No problem. We’ll send copies home on the first in-person day.
📅 Please try to return crests by Friday, Aug. 22 so we can fill our halls with them.
